I was recently looking for a nanny for my 18 month old twins. I wanted to use a nanny service so that I could have access to nannies that were pre-screened, but was worried about the prohibitively high cost of using such a service. A friend of mine mentioned Beyond Babysitting to me, so I decided to try them out. The owner, Sarah, was prompt to return my call after I submitted a form through the website, she was very friendly and very thorough in finding out my exact needs. She took a personal interest in my family, including coming to my home to meet me and my twins. Sarah presented me with a good selection of nannies (that had been interviewed, background & reference checked) to choose from that were personalized to what I was looking for. After being provided a (very helpful) list of suggested interview questions, I chose three nannies and did phone interviews with each of them. They all seemed very qualified, but I connected especially well with one nanny and had her over for a face-to-face interview. She was the perfect fit for my family and my girls seemed to adore her right from the moment she came in the door. Our nanny has been with us now for a little over three weeks and we couldn't be happier with her performance. Not to mention the fact that we didn't have to pay any fees at all during the entire process... and it is very nice to have Beyond Babysitting take care of payroll for us, taking the hassle out of haggling over salary. I really feel that the salary we pay is affordable for us (we are paying $13 an hour for both kids) and our nanny is also compensated well (I believe she takes home $11 an hour). Sarah has also been great with following up to make sure we are all happy. Overall, I am extremely pleased with my experience with Beyond Babysitting and would recommend the service to anyone in the Austin area looking for excellent, personalized service at an affordable rate!
