I had a nightmare experience with them. I used them to try to hire a nanny in Westchester. They only sent one candidate. I actually liked her (maybe I was desperate) and agreed to hire her. However, she declined the job after coming to my house for only a few hours to meet kids, etc. Despite having NOT placed a nanny with us, Doug Kozinn and Saul Moskowitz charged my credit card without my approval or signature for nearly $7,000 and then refused to refund the money. Then they made veiled threats about government agencies possibly investigating my IRS nanny tax compliance and workers comp compliance, I suppose to scare me into not making complaints about them.. I have had to get my lawyer and American Express involved. I have complained to the NY atty general and the Better Business Bureau. I spoke to several other agencies and have used other agencies before and industry practice is to allow a 5 to 10 day "grace period" before considering a nanny placed. Other agencies said they had heard similar stories about ABC. Saul and Doug do not run an ethical business. They committed credit card fraud against me. There are many other agencies and ways to hire a nanny; don't tangle with these people. They are bad people who prey on desperate parents and take no pride in their work.

I've actually asked for this review to be removed. Absolute Best Care and I came to an agreement that's acceptable to both of us. Disregard.

All of our candidates have gone through the most extensive vetting process of any agency in the area. Yes this client paid a fee-$195 to be sent the resumes of qualified candidates that have been screened and vetted and interviews set up at clients request. Interviewed multiple candidates but did not a good match and decided to keep current nanny. That happens-we wish you luck with your nanny.

Beware. This agency should not be trusted. They cleared a nanny for me with an expired license, because they read the DMV report wrong. The nanny lasted 6 weeks and they charged me the full fee. Hopefully I will prevail in court.

Not an accurate description of what transpired. A DMV report was sent to the client prior to the job starting. We worked extensively with this client who had over 20 candidates for her position. Did not honor our written agreement but was ultimately compensated and signed a release promising not to make misleading statements like this one. Very disappointing.

Unhappymom123-- I am in a similar situation, except the nanny worked only a few hours before saying she didn't want the job after all (I swear we're nice people!). Would you be willing to talk to me about any legal action you took? You can email me at rachaelcombe"at" Mac.om

I've asked for all my reviews to be removed (twice). They are not germane to Absolute Best Care. Readers, please disregard and Nanny Institute, please remove my reviews. Thanks
