As a recent substitute, I know how this organization runs, so parents you DO NOT know everything. Being in the daycare field for over 5 years I know how they are run. Parents only see what the teachers/staff want them to see. You drop your child off and then pick them up, you are not there at all hours of the day. You do not see the staff handle your children's food and drink, you do not see the staff leave the children unattended. The children's food is prepared for them in a small space and put into containers or saran wrap that is not even clean. The food is then put onto a paper plate where other foods run into each other (i.e oranges mixed with meatballs). The children then fill up there cups with luke warm water from a unfiltered sink, the same sink they wash their hands in. At nap time children are yelled at and not soothed how they should be. When children go to the bathroom, they are not supervised and no teacher is making sure they wash their hands. In the infant room, babies and crawling on uncarpeted floors and eating old/dirty food off of the floors from other babies, which could cause choking or allergic reactions. If i send my child in with oranges and peas, I do not expect them to eat Mac N Cheese off of the floor. The babies are held over CERAMIC sinks to wash their hands, posing a dangerous situation to a baby. Staff favor certain children/infants and ignore the ones they are not fond of. Outside, babies are eating wood chips and breathing in dirt while staff sits around on their cell phones. Do not send your child to this facility. The staff is untrained and uneducated. Having your own children does not qualify you to care and nurture somebody else.

Proud LPC parent, Philadelphia Pa - 12/06/2011

The negative posts here are absolutely absurd and seem as though they are coming from the same person! Isn’t "Lake Naomi" in the Poconos?? That’s a pretty long distance to travel to Philadelphia everyday for childcare ...seems very strange to me! Anyway, my husband and I currently have my son enrolled at Les Petit Cherubs, and he attends the East Falls campus. We couldn’t be happier and I truly mean that! The staff is so loving and very nurturing! The owner is always there and is the type of woman who you can tell loves what she does and has a genuine good heart! It seems that negative posts are coming from the same person who has a personal issue, and quite frankly seems as though they have no class! I was actually told about Les Petits Cherubs from two different people when my husband and I were expecting. I am a VERY protective mother, and my husband and I would not accept anything but the best for our son, bottom line! The center is always clean and everything looks brand new! The infant room is beautiful and the staff seems like they love what they do! I think it is absolutely terrible that someone would write all sorts of negative posts when a lot of it irrelevant to child care and not remotly close to what goes on in the center. Shame on you! Parents like myself go on sights like this to actually look for a safe enviornment for our children. I love Les Petits Cherubs as a whole and would recommend it to anyone! When people ask where my son attends childcare I am proud to say Les Petits Cherubs! In my eyes Les Petits Cherubs is the Ritz Carlton of childcare centers in Philadelphia and truly meets my expectations for our son!

My child just started at this center. She is happy to be dropped off and that is a comforting feeling. The staff is caring and loving. A friend recommended the center. She had her child at the center on Ridge Avenue for years.

Ive been reading some of the things on this site and it just sounds bogus, alot of the comments seems like there coming from angry employees the only thing that i can say i have read was about ms.pat and her attitude, I have two children that have been attending the east falls campus for over two years and compared to the center that were at previous to lpc im glad to have my children here my son wouldnt even walk when he was at the other one or talk when he began going to lpc he started walking and talking, my daughter who is now in pre-k has learned so much while here and is so excited about learning

I find the review about staff turnover to be absolutely false, I am 29 years old and I attended Les petits cherubs as a child. When my younger sister, who is 10 years younger tjan myself attended, my parents were happy to see some of the same teachers still devoted to the daycare, such as ms Pat and ms. paula, les petits cherubs has a very respected name and has been around for a while. My children also now attend the daycare and we have never had a negative experience..ever. I would much rather have my children attend a daycare where you actually know the owner and directors personally and you are able to discuss any concerns, rather than a huge corporate chain which you never meet the owners and you are simply a customer or a store front turned daycare. In my opinion, les petits is a superior daycare.

OK Folks. As far as I'm concerned, it kinda sucks that we have to put our kids in any daycare. But, since this is the case, I'd like to say this Daycare is pretty good. I am all too aware of the problems: the stupid elevator, the sun, the lack of parking and of good drop off and pick up facilities. The turn over is a problem, though that is the case for any daycare, especially at this price point.

As far as care is concerned, I believe most if not all of the teachers are very caring. The lead teacher in my child's room is extremely responsive, proactive, diligent and experienced. I know details about decision making at LPC and at Falls Center and I believe, for the most part, the children are being prioritized, even over profit potential. Maybe, if you have lots of cash, you could find a daycare with lower turn over or better facilities. But for the price, I was unable to find a better value. I think LPC reflects the realistic compromise, most of us must make. I do not believe there are any good reasons not to send you child there (no kid is starving, this is ridiculous)and have found many good reason to send my child there.

One other note, there is a parent group which works with the staff and administration to ensure a standard of quality is being met.

Let me pre-pend this by saying my review is for the Audobon location, but they don't appear to be listed here. But it's the same owner so I'm sure not much difference between the two. By the way, owner spends all her money on plastic surgery for her and her daughters and doesn't do anything to fix the conditions of the school (it's a dump). But on to my review. We had to pull our 2 y/o daughter out because of the staff at the school. First issue was when my wife went to pick up our daughter. When my daughter bent down to pick something up, she noticed that she wasn't wearing a diaper. The afternoon "aide" said she wasn't our daughter's teacher and walked away. Great professionalism. 2 weeks later I went to pick up our daughter. She was standing in the kitchen, crying. A teacher was behind her. I asked my daughter what was wrong when I noticed her pants were wet. No biggie. Until I realized the pee was ice cold, which meant she had been standing in it for some time. Teacher didn't offer to change her or do anything. So I went and changed her and guess what? NO DIAPER AGAIN! I confronted an aide downstairs who again said our daughter wasn't in her group. Really? That's your excuse? No apology? Final issue was when my wife went to pick up our daughter a week later. She was crying again. Same aide didn't know what was wrong or what happened. Cried the whole way home and at home hysterically. Wouldn't move her arm. So we go to the E.R. and find out she has Nursemaid's Elbow (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nursemaid%27s_elbow). Doctor said it's not something another child could have done. What does the school do about it? Nothing. In fact, they were going to make the one aide assistant director. Way to promote failures. I would call the owner numerous times and always get her assistant, who was worthless. The owner wouldn't call back for days or weeks. However she did ask us to be her friend on Facebook so we could communicate with her easier. Real professional again. Only 1 good thing I will say about this place. There were 2 teachers who were really good to us and our daughter. One in the small house and her morning teacher in the big house (top floor). Nobody else seemed to give a crap about the kids or the parents. Save yourself the trouble and find another school to use. Don't go through the headaches and pain we did.

This is very strange.. Andrew, could you possibly be michelle and debbie and east falls review? I actually take reviews very seriously and I think that the owner shoukd be notified about your false accusations and very low class insults. My children maria and anthonyboth attend the daycare and I highly recommend it to all of my friends and colleges, who also read these reviews, including your false ones, which are embarressing, especially since it is very obvious who you are.

Now Jessica and Patrica just because your so blindsided by the center doesn't mean the others are lying. Now I can admit that these centers do have WONDERFUL and CARING teachers but is that enough for a daycare?Or a buliding with toys? I'm sorry to say it's not.Not when your a money hungry Botox addicted OWNER who makes up her own ratios for her childcare center and was fine several times and still hasn't change anything the state told her to [here's the report: http://m.philly.everyblock.com/food-inspections/by-date/2010/1/22/761339/ ]. I can go on for days about how unsafe her centers are far as there aren't any sprinklers present at any of the centers, there isn't a safe ramp for the babies in the basement, they have a poor food program, mice feces in shelves, the rugs nor the toys are clean properly. Once again I could go on for days maybe even months about these centers but it's parents like "Jessica"and "Patricia" who are too neive and pretty much lazy to investigate where their child will be sleeping and eating for the next 8 hours just because the "parent next door" said it's a nice daycare. For those who are reading this please take this review into consideration and DONT enroll your child at NONE of the centers.Les Petis Cherubs needs to be remove for Keystone Stars ASAP.[Please excuse my errors]

I am a parent and I understand that Michelle was not willing to work up to a Star 3 level and preferred to remain at Level 2. She was a disorganized director and as a parent she did not respond to safety concerns. When I did go to admin that concerns were addressed immediately, and she gave me her personal cell hone number. We love LPC and have two children at the East Falls Campus!

I give LPC thumbs up. Been going for 4 years, our child is happy there and been learning leaps and bounds. Our child even talks positively about the teachers, many who have been there for years. Our director has been there for years as well, the infant teachers for even more. Our child has many friends there, so there are other parents who feel the same way. Not every place is for everyone, this one just happens to work for us.

Beware of any facility that has a high rate of turnover. LPC can't keep directors...that is a bad sign. What you see is not what you get.

Are you the former disgruntled employee or just an unhappy parent? There is former employee badmouthing the center on forums and blogs. Your post as is, does not have merit. The director at the Ridge Campus has been there for years, as well as many of the employees.

Review on East Falls Campus, Philly - 06/09/2010

Debbie is not lying please beware of this daycare. How they got another keystone star is beyond me. This place rarley has supplies paper towles, gloves to change the children, toilet paper, and food for the children! Poor little kids in there be starving their heads off. I have never been to a daycare where the children actually cry due to hungerness and example of their menu for the day for breakfast dry cereal and water lunch pita bread and tomatoes and snack pretzels. What kid do you know of only eats this crap through the day and won't be hungry afterwards?I don't care what the lunch menu says cause nine times outta ten they don't have the food that needs to be prepared! Your kids are starving trust me when I say. Let's not forget the younger toddler room has no changing table so ur child is gettin changed on a cot or on the floor yup you heard me right! And the infant room the toys are extremely dirty and the director is to lazy and nasty to wash the items so we took it upon ourselves to watch them be because if that was ur child would u want them laying on dirty swings, and bouncers all day? This place is horrible believe me when I say and if your child is in there you better be careful! I'm warning you take them out now! If you have noticed alot of employees have left that is never a good sign. Who wants a differrent person every week taking care of my child... Beware! Don't take the director word that your child is fine because they are not and the head boss attitude is so disgusting all she cares about is the money nothing else.

Im a parent, please read my review above. This is rediculous, please. Starving children, mice etc.. If tjis were true than the daycare would be all over the news. Please stop wasting all of our time with rediculous reviews, because you obviously lost your job. If you really cared about the children, you would post real reviews and not selfishly deter a parent from sending their child to a.good daycare because of your own issues, seriously, if this were really going on, I thibk you should get off the computer and contact the authorities, these negative reviews are simply rediculous

MIC, Philadelphia (Manayunk), PA - 03/02/2010

I love this daycare! My 11-month old son has been going to the East Falls campus on Henry Ave. for 6 months, 5 days/week and couldn't be happier. The director is wonderful and the staff is so friendly and experienced. They work with the infants and my son has learned so much in a short time. They have a policy to always soothe the babies and pick them up if they are upset or crying. LPC has become a second family and I look forward to dropping off and picking up my son so I can interact with the teachers and director. I can not say enough about how loving and caring the people are here. We get daily, detailed reports on the children and the staff is always looking to personalize the care they give each child. My son is always smiling when we pick him up and takes off to play with his friends when we drop him off. I HIGHLY recommend Les Petits Cherubs (I can only speak to the EF campus) for anyone looking for a clean, loving environment. We can tell the staff truly love our son. We had a bad experience at another local daycare and quickly pulled our son out. I had trouble finding reviews of child care facilities in the Manayunk area so I'm hoping this review will help other parents make a good decision for their children.

Patricia, Philadelphia, PA - 08/24/2010

I don’t know who "Laura" and "Debbie" are, but it seems to me it’s the same person who has a personal issue! Anyway I must say that two of my children attend LPC, and I could not be happier! The teachers actually take pride in there job and truly take care of your child like its one of there own. My children wake up eager to go to daycare everyday, especially my youngest! Every time my youngest is picked up from daycare he has a cleaned face and nose, and a new diaper on! The employees take pride in there job and love my children like as if it were there own! I am not familiar with what the person is talking about who said the children don’t eat because I KNOW my kids eat when their there! It’s humorous that that lady wrote that the children cry because of hunger pains. I have never heard something so absurd! My children’s teachers actually have me bring a small little snack in for them for later on after lunch or snack if they grow a little hungry! I HIGHLY recommend LPC and would tell any parents that the staff and directors are wonderful! I know that the head boss wouldn’t put up with anything but the best my two boys have been going there for a year and my oldest was there as a new born and is now in kindergarten and I couldn’t be happier! The daycare exceeds my expectations, and makes my life a lot easier!
